Read the following groups of words.

Group 1

1. the Philippines
2. made up of highlands and lowlands
3. a flat-level land
4. the largest valley
5. Mayon Volcano and Taal Volcano

Group 2

1. The Philippines has many different forms of land.
2. Landforms are made up of highlands and lowlands.
3. A valley is a flat-level land between mountains and hills.
4. Cagayan Valley is the largest valley in Luzon.
5. Mayon Volcano and Tall Volcano are examples of active volcanoes in our country.

Discussion Questions:

1. In the first group of words, what is it about the Philippines? Can you get any idea from this group of words?

2. In number 2, what do you understand from "made up of highlands and lowlands" ? In numbers 3, 4, and 5?
